ASTM D5001 BOCLE Aviation Turbine Fuels Lubricity Tester Ball-on-Cylinder Lubricity Evaluator
1. Introduction
The Aviation Turbine Fuels Lubricity Tester is a device used to evaluate the lubrication performance of aviation engine fuel. It simulates the lubrication environment under actual operating conditions to ensure that the performance of the fuel meets the requirements under high temperature, high pressure and high speed conditions.
Simple interface: digital computer controls all instrument functions;
Standard ASTM D 5001 test program preloaded into microprocessor controller: operator installs cleaned test piece, adds fuel sample and presses "start test" button; Automatic control of test sequence: no operator intervention is required during measurement; Automatic flow controller controls humid and dry air: no operator control is required to adjust the humidity and flow of air; PC-based data logging of motor speed, test time, fuel temperature, air temperature, humidity and printed summary confirms that all parameters are within the specified range; Interchangeable humidity and temperature probes: humidity and temperature measurements do not require recalibration, just replace the combined relative humidity and temperature probe with an exchange pre-calibrated unit; Heating and cooling system: Peltier heating and cooling system PC-based motor speed, test time, fuel temperature, air temperature, humidity data acquisition and analysis system Ultrasonic cleaner; The automatic aviation fuel lubricity tester is a digital computer-controlled ball-cylinder wear test system that provides a rapid and repeatable jet fuel performance evaluation, fully compliant with ASTM D5001 test method for measuring aviation turbine fuel lubricity using ball-cylinder (BOCLE) lubricity evaluator.

2. Main uses
The aviation kerosene lubrication tester is mainly used to evaluate the lubrication performance of aviation jet fuel. A standard steel ball and a standard ring are used to form a friction pair. Under controlled test conditions, the size of the wear mark produced on the steel ball is used to evaluate the boundary lubrication performance of aviation fuel.
